Our Story
Earth Ideal was created by Earthmovers, for Earthmovers.
Our goal is to make everyday field and office work in the industry more efficient through simple, practical tools.
Building a Foundation
Earth Ideal was founded by Phil Purpero, a professional engineer, in the earthmoving business in southeastern Wisconsin. Through his experience, Phil identified the outsized gains that earthmoving professionals could achieve with just a little help. To make these gains possible, Phil began developing tools designed specifically for the needs of earthmovers.

A first principle guiding Earth Ideal is “coopetition,” or cooperating with competitors, to improve efficiency across the industry. This approach allows companies to share opportunities, reduce waste, and use their resources more effectively without giving up competitive advantages.​​

Looking Into The Future
Earth Ideal started with Haul Check and has since developed additional applications, including Crew Huddle, Earth Tight, and Spare Iron (launching January 2026), all guided by the same principles. A future product, Assured Disposal, will further leverage cooperation on both ends of off-site hauling partnerships.
Every Earth Ideal application focuses on the most important aspects of successful projects, from optimizing material management to optimizing crews and equipment resources.
All apps are directly accessible by earthmoving professionals, as they are web-based, self-taught, have no sign-up fees, and require no downloads or installations.
